"A home away from home. Naburn Station was like a breath of fresh air. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and it was tastefully furnished and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were beautiful and the garden was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The owner was very hospitable and helpful and we would definitely stay here again if we were ever in York. Although a bit out of the way, it was easily accessible by taxi (10 GBP to the station) or bus 42 (2.80 GBP per person) to the city centre. If one loves walking, it is a long but pleasant walk to town."
"Excellent Value. Very friendly hostel in an excellent situation close to York. We had the self-contained apartment for the one night which was clean, welcoming and very comfortable. Big flat screen telly and free wi-fi were an added bonus. Tea, coffee, milk, fruit juice and breakfast cereals were all available, and fruit too. We asked for bacon in the morning and a platter of bacon, mushrooms along with fresh bread and rolls were delivered to the door for our breakfast (for a very small charge) - who could ask for more? Thoroughly recommend staying here - for any reason!"
"Wonderful Weekend. Have just spent a great weekend at this lovely hostel. I have been a hosteller since my teenage years, and love the independent hostels. I could not fault the standard of accommodation, the owner Ann was really friendly, it was a perfect location, my husband and I are cyclists and this is right on a Sustrans route, only a 20min pedal from York. There is a cafe at the hostel selling lovely home made cakes and perfect as a stopping point if you are cycling. We will definitely be visiting again, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to hosteling friends"
"Ideal accommodation. Lovely apartment, ideal for my 83 yr old mum, two teenage daughters and me. The owner was very helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. A large selection of drinks and breakfast goodies were provided and extra food was offered. Fantastic park and ride into York was 2 minutes away (free parking) & very reasonable fares. I would stay here again. Thanks for a lovely short stay away from home."
"Excellent. Naburn Station was perfect for our trip away to York a short taxi ride into York and within a short distance from a designer outlet with park and ride. The apartment was a perfect size for our group and very comfortable. The staff were so friendly and very very helpful. Would recommend and would definitely stay again."
